Can't do this right now. It got me crying why is she making the same mistake I made, just in a different way? 😭 This is getting to real.

All this being said, I am having to do a full one-eighty on my usual process of creating a commissioned art piece. My typical prep of a bowl of Cap N’ Crunch and reruns of Gilmore Girls in the background will not cut it for this one. No, I need serious, dark themes going on here.
This isn’t my usual genre and it is a bit campy and cheesy but ngl I’m kinda enjoying it 🤭 this line made me absolutely laugh out loud at how ridiculously relatable it was 😂

Let’s talk about overused words…
The Oxford English Dictionary has over half a million words and yet the council of fantasy authors seem to have dedicated their lives to using approximately 37 of them... and it feels like that number drops to about 21 when we get to romantasy specifically. 😂😭
So, readers, what words need to go to Vocabulary Jail 🔒 for a little cooldown period? 😅
I know I mentioned fantasy authors (because I read a lot of fantasy), but I’m sure other genres are guilty of overusing perfectly good words until we can no longer hear them without rolling our eyes. 😆
Let's hear 'em! 📢
I’ll start: WHORL
Once upon a time, whorl felt whimsical. Magical. Atmospheric. Now, everything has whorls: light, paintings, floor tiles, evening gowns, back tattoos, mysterious artefacts... It's enough now. 😂
It's not an inherently bad word, but I yearn for some more creativity.
EDIT: Y'all are getting the most millennial response out of me for this post. 😆

What are your top 5 to 10 books that deserve the hype but always get glossed over or aren't as popular as other books ? I'll go first
My top 5 would be , in no particular order 1: Close to you by Nissan Renzo. Yes, the trope isn't for everyone , but I rarely see a book that focuses more on the plot then the romance
2: Night Shift by Annie Crown. I haven't personally read it yet but it is on my long list of TBR's ( probably next book tbh ) . My friend pointed it out when we were in London england and said it was a 5 star for her .
3: Knot my Type by Evie Mitchell . I had to get my friend to send it to me because i couldn't find it in Canada, but it's basically its accessible BDSM
4: Fall I want by Lyra Parish . I got it a year ago and though I started loving it I had something bad happen right after I bought it so it's been on my shelf but I can't seem to get rid of it
5: Novel Haven: Levels of Love. Just like number 2 , I haven't actually read it yet but not many people have heard of it because it was translated from German I'm pretty sure
I tried to search up if this has been posted before but only found one about books that should not be hyped as much as they are from a deleted account
