  • Best non-Amazon e-reader for multiple apps, color e-ink display

Hi all! I have a kindle paperwhite which I do like, but I’d love to move away from using Amazon products especially when it comes to reading! That said, I don’t want to lose all the books I’ve already purchased through Kindle. So I’m on the hunt for a new e-reader. Ideally I’d like one with the following features:

    • color display
    • e-ink display (so no LED glare)
    • can support multiple e-reader apps like Kindle, Libby, Bookshop, etc.
    • indie created/really just not created by Amazon

I like to highlight quotes but as of yet I haven’t become a huge annotator, so that feature is less important to me. I’m greatful for any recs you all have!
