This book made me feel so full of love but also broke my heart several times. Dogs deserve the world and I just can’t understand how cruel people are. Isabel is a huge inspiration to me when it comes to fostering dogs. She is the reason I started fostering dogs in the first place and it brings me so much joy, I want to do it forever. I sometimes struggled with the jumps within the chapters between her talking about her foster dogs and then again about her private life. I totally understand why this book was structured this way but sometimes it confused me for a second. Reading this book I cried at least five times lol. My heart breaks for Isabel (and Jacob as well) for having to let Simon go, this review is written one day after she announced that she’s going to say goodbye to Simon over the next few days. Simon has such a great soul and I hope he feels the impact he had and still has on so many people.
