Honestly this is really addictive. I don’t know why so many people are complaining that the FMC is absolutely unlikeable, because yes she is and that’s the entire purpose of the book?? Why would a leftist reader like a white nationalist, trad wife, republican character bffr ?? Its terrifying to get to see her thoughts but at the same time I just can’t stop reading.

cute, funny & very wholesome story about friendship & fear of getting replaced. Really touched my heart but I didn’t like how Aron suddenly broke up with his GF at the end which should’ve been done way sooner in the story.

First of all I’d like to point out that I really have a thing for magical realism books and I was really glad that this book also didn’t disappoint me. As a Ashley Poston fan : this was truly right up my alley but with thriller & crime elements combined.
I literally flew throughout the book since this was such a fun and easy read. Roxie and Grant were so loveable & cute ugh I loved how they met. It was so incredibly funny & I laughed so much while reading their interactions & dialogues. In addition I also really liked that the love story was steady paced and took its while to fully develop. Nowadays it feels like a rarity in books, so I really appreciated that.
This felt overall like a silly rom-com but with thriller elements. At some point throughout the story it felt like more a romance book to me than a thriller but honestly I didn’t mind it. What could’ve been more explored is the magic system in this story. It felt kind of superficial to me that just a random eccentric person grants random wishes and disappears again for the rest of the book.
To sum everything up, this was a very fun book and it really enjoyed it overall. Could’ve been a bit slower but i had such a good time with it.

I LOVE SILLY FANTASY ROM COMS SO MUCH. This book has my whole heart and I need the next book ASAP. This was such a incredibly fun read I’m so glad I picked this one up even though I was hesitant at first.
This story had everything that I loved : funny side characters ( aka an undead skeleton who turned out to be the MMCs brother in law HELPP LMAO ), a super wholesome and sweet found family trope and a love story that I absolutely adored ( even though it definitely could’ve been slower ).
While this book was silly & hilarious it was also really heartwarming and written with care. The author put so much love & time into her characters. I felt very seen & understood through Sikras fear of losing a loved one & not wanting of letting them go. Because boy do I struggle with that fear too. Considering the ending I’m very glad that he found Helspria because boy that broke my heart.
But overall I had such fun with this book because I loved the found family trope between Ben, Sikras & Helspria because they really complemented each other lmao and it was pure fun to read their dialogues. Also got a really huge crush on Sikras. Why can’t men like him exist in real life???? I need to manifest him into real life lol.
This is perfect fans for the assistant to the villain series ( which I also really love ). Overall a fantastic start into this series and can’t wait to read more
