An introduction to the Romance genre, these books are part of the cultural zeitgeist or the 'canon' that many would recognize. Look for more niche titles in later Starter Pack volumes.

This is a very peculiar book. I can absolutely see why some readers might not enjoy this story since it has no real plot going on except for Wendell & Emily trying to publish that paper about faeries and Wendell’s backstory ( which I won’t mention here since it includes spoilers ). Furthermore it’s a very descriptive story and explains a lot of different kinds of faeries, their habits, worlds and characteristics and I can see that this can be too much for someone. It’s also a very quiet book. Yes there were some things that happened but due to no real plot and a lot of descriptions it tended to be more kind of a cosy fantasy book and honestly I was a fan of it & really enjoyed it.
But I have to say that both Emily & Wendell are flawed characters and that both of them acted throughout the book unreasonable at some points instead of JUST TALKING TO EACH OTHER ESPECIALLY WHEN EMILY GOT CURSED AND WENDELL KNEW IT THE WHOLE TIME AND BOTH OF THEM DIDNT DO A SINGLE THING ???? I also had some struggles with the writing style because it takes getting used to since it’s so descriptive.
But overall a great read and I really loved the tales as a bonus in this story! Especially the last one made me wonder how it’s relevant for the other books!
