"Everyone knew that the nicer a library was, the better the work you did within it. Nice libraries meant donors, meant support, meant the time and resources to accunulate the best collection. More important, nice libraries put you in a certain frame of mind."
I will throw this quote into anyones face at work from now on that dares to say anything against our university library - which of course is not really nice but we librarians try our best š
Edit: will be hanging a post-it next to the door quoting: "Everyone who has passed through here is very important, and so are you." - as nice libraries always whisper.

This book reminded me a lot of "Stalking Jack the Ripper" by Kerri Maniscalo. Similar setting of a wealthy young lady in Great Britain that lost a parent and fights the patriarchy with ghe fury intention of becoming a doctor. So I was a bit bored to be honest as the story was pretty foreseeable, the end caught me again with that quite unexpected turn. Not sure if I go on with the series.

A delightfully short story that has the feeling of a folk tale. In the beginning it was a bit difficult to get the idea how the whole systemt with the temple and story gathering works, but once Chih and Rabbit meet at the hidden lake I got the hang of it. Will go finish the series as soon as the last book is out.
