"I find it so much easier to just do the thing when I haven't spent the last hour berating myself for not doing the thing."
I feel so seen. While this seems so simple, it really is quite difficult to describe how much of a struggle it is not to give way to negative thoughts when I'm behind schedule or don't have the energy at that moment to do the thing.

This is a good read as a little refresher. I didn’t necessarily learn anything new (I’m a lawyer). I read it because a friend gifted it to me.

The poor were simply men and women without jobs, and those who still had gainful employment sensed that they were at risk of experiencing the same fate. . . Upward mobility was not a destination to be reached, or a ladder to be scaled by diligence and hard work.”
Is this chapter describing the 1930s or present day America? It’s genuinely hard to tell. (I ’m in danger meme)

Woody Guthrie mentioned!!
I’ve been listening to him a lot lately. His songs speak as much to America back then, as to America now. Folk music will really tell you how it is.

I was looking at some banned book lists earlier and I was thinking how fun it would be to have a banned book quest! What quest would you love to have?! and badge idea? I would love a childhood book quest, banned book quest and more horror quests!
