Bairns, lasses, thistles, men in tartan and plaid? Me thinks the isle of Cadence may be inspired by Scotland š“ó §ó ¢ó ³ó £ó “ó æ

i never really liked cinderella as a tale, but this version was simply lovely, i loved cinder as a main character and even though it felt very 2012 at times, it was still enjoyable and maybe someday I'll read something else from this series

honestly not sure how should i rate this one i loved the premise, the idea of wajinru their magic and history was teally amazing and i could read a whole history book about them, rivers solomon's writing is always very good, but her main characters... miss the mark for me yetu, our protagonist and their internal monologue about same things over and over again, their actions and excuses for them made them so unlikeable and unrelatable for me (though i am sure there are many folks out there who enjoyed their narration) they made the plot focus on things that held no interest for me (and often annoyed me), while completely ignoring the ones i'd love to hear more about so yeah, it was a little bit of a letdown, but still definitely worth a shot, your thoughts may (and probably will be) completely different than mine and i hope you'll be able to enjoy it more than i did
