Medical non-fiction is so interesting! I have absolutely no medical experience, but find the history of modern medicine so intriguing (and often terrifying!!)

love this list! I would recommend All in Her Head: The Truth and Lies Early Medicine Taught Us About Women’s Bodies and Why It Matters Today. very digestible, every chapter is a different body system, and it's very interesting and infuriating.
Ohhhh this is so good; I love it! 🫶 I‘ve been wanting to start reading nonfiction for a while now, and this list definitely sounds extremely interesting! 🖤

i don't read non-fiction much too, but i found that these medical ones are much more digestible and interesting! so reading while learning (and not hurting) was my main goal here haha if you want, i think this is going to hurt is a great starting point for this list!

Love this list!! I'd recommend When Breathe Become Air by Paul Kalanithi. It's more of an autobiography, but there is a lot of medical stuff in there. Arrival Stories is a collection of stories of real women about their motherhood and how it came to be. There are details like hemorrhage, miscarriage, etc discussed in there.

I've read Smoke Gets in Your Eyes, I highly recommend. The author has an interesting YouTube channel as well.

It's about death positivity and the funeral industry! It's an interesting memoir but I've learned so much about funeral homes! They charge so much money because they know we're grieving!
😩😩😩 I believe it. The death industry about as greedy as the wedding and birth. It’s so sad.
Her YouTube channel is good too. I watched it when I was scared during the height of COVID
