Wow! These books keep blowing me away! Not once was I bored, the pacing was great, the characters were great and keep developing, the plot was great too!!
The side characters really shine in this one, especially Zoe, William, Mariah and Valec. But I really really loved Nick in this one!!! Oh and Sel cracked me up at the end lol every sentence had me laughing. I understand that given the revelations at the end, his character couldnāt come in earlier than it did but I missed him throughout this book.
I really really loved how Tracy Deonn explores various themes in her writing; power, racism, bigotry, grief. She does it so well and as always I underlined so many things. I love that she made Nick so aware of what Bree has to experience as a Black woman inheriting the Orderās most powerful titleā heās a white boy with a very fine understanding of the world around him and I love him for that.
Anyway, another great book, canāt wait for the next one!!!
