I want to read at least one long book in 2026 and would like some recommendations! Bonus points if it's sci-fi; no romantasy though! Thanks in advance! ☺️

I know we still have 5 weeks left of 2025 but I was thinking about all the books I’ve read this year and was wondering about which book was my favourite and which I was surprised by. And I thought, rather than just asking myself these questions we could all get involved and maybe find some new reads for 2026.
Feel free to answer them all or just pick one or two, I’ll put my answers below 😊

Tender Is the Flesh
Agustina Bazterrica
Post from the Vampires of El Norte forum
As someone who is originally from this part of the world, I really appreciated how the author described everything with a light touch, which allowed me to really immerse myself in the story. I have started so many books set in this area, only to DNF them out of disappointment because the dialogue or the world building was so heavy-handed that it felt false and ripped me out of the story.
