This just popped into my mind as a fun way to drum up some conversation between folks and get some solid comment threads! Everyone can list some bookish thing they like or do or experience (only if it hasn't been listed already!!) to start a new thread, and the goal is to build the threads by going through the comments and finding other responses that you relate to and commentinh to that adding a little more detail on your take. And of course, upvote, so we can see whats most common! For example, if someone says "I collect bookmarks" someone else may say "I do too and always match them to my books" (inspired by a little convo I saw recently, if this was you please let me know and I'll happily shout you out directly -> possibly example credit to Atheshootingstar!)

Hi! Unfortunately the fall and winter are just hard for me due to losses I have to live with, and Iām hoping to read some books where the characters are going through the same. It has helped me in the past :) Iām also looking to explore more genres but if you got romance with a grief subplot Iād love to hear it too!!

Inspired by @Coraline and @Bluehairedboy, I thought it would be fun to do a found poem with everyone. Instructions below! š«š«š« 1. Copy the latest version (the opening, if you are first commenter) onto your comment. 2. Pick a book you're currently reading. 3. Flip to the page you last stopped at. 4. Pick a line, a few words, a whole sentence(!) from that page. 5. Add it to the last line of the poem and hit "Post". āāā ā Tips - This is least confusing if each person replies the comment of the last person who added a line. - Don't get too worried about syntax, grammar, punctuation, what have you! š Here's the opening: Mother took hold of a soft white lamb

Fun question that popped up in one of my reading discords. I am currently reading a non-fiction, and I would be farming yams in Jamaica. Honestly sounds like a good time to me lol.

I wanted to read authors from Asia, do you recommend to start with RF Kuang or Han Kang? Which books to you like? Or which other authors do you recommend? ā¤ļøāš©¹

A collection of the pilot books for popular series, for those of us who love to follow a character's journey for as long as an author will let us! Some of the below series have heavily debated starting points and book read orders--in those cases the pilot was selected based on what seems to be the most popular approach.

I'm not talking about books that you fell in love with as a wee little human and grew up with, still loving, as an adult. I'm talking about the books at the bottom of your Goodreads account, updated decades ago, and have absolutely zero recollection of the story. Maybe you vaguely remember enjoying it in your youth, or at the very least you didn't crash out from them. Curious because I look at my list sometimes, and it's unsurprisingly either very cheesy-looking YA romances like classic Meg Cabot and Rachel Hawthorne, or that specific era of teenage classic experience with The Hunger Games, Twilight, City of Bones, etc.

whatās been the best book youāve read this year, so far? i love it when a book sneaks up on you and unexpectedly - any surprises? my current top two are blood over bright haven (ml wang) and masters of death (olivie blake). when starting blood over bright haven i was pretty confident i would like it, but masters of death was a complete surprise!
