My therapist recommended this one for me. I dont think this one clicked for me compared to other books in the self-help genre. I didnt really enjoy a lot of the sports references and comparisons.

Cute and fun! Very quick read. Perfect for a fluffy fall read!

Same chaos, plot continues. More buildup with the romances, but lots of action. Actually excited for the final one! 3.75

I enjoyed the story enough. Sometimes I found myself kind of falling out of the story. Just disinterested, which is always a downer. There were some really sweet moments. Definitely felt like something was missing. Cute story! 3.25 stars

I have to start this review by stating that the actual writing in this is brutal. The first 100 pages or so we're really difficult to get through cause the writing was super amateur. Once I got into the story, it was easier to ignore. I also was annoyed by the fact that some words seem to be Americanized? I'm some section they call soccer football, which is normal cause that's what they call it everywhere else in the world, but then in some sections they call it soccer? Seems like an editing issue. The story itself pretty interesting. When I was in high school I would have eaten this book up. The angst and want, the difficult family dynamics, the pressure of being in high school (both from the athlete and the outcast). This book was dramatic, fast paced and addicting. While the writing was bad, once I got into the story, I was able to get past it. At times I felt like the story felt repetitive and slow, which means the story could have been shorter (the book is 600+ pages). I will say the ending was so crazy, that I had to run to Barnes and Noble to grab the next one. Will continue the series! Especially because everyone says the writing gets better as the series continues.

Catherine Walsh has slowly become one ofy favorite romance writers. She tends to have the perfect balance of romance while delving into some more difficult deep topics. This one had one of my favorite tropes in romance books. I love books that involve writers. So this story follows a writer and an editor, and I loved every second of it! I do feel like the pacing for the romance was a little odd at times, and I wish it was a bit longer to fix the pacing, but omg I need to read her backlog!

This was her best one yet! When I read her debut novel, I thought she wasn't going to be an author for me. But by the time I got to the final book I'm her last standalone series, Unbearably Yours, I knew she was only going to get better and better. Well, I'm so happy to say I was right. This book had so many elements I love in a good romance. Fake dating, an emotional connection, things each of the main characters are trying to overcome outside of the actual romance, small town, and a romance you want to root for! I think my only note is the fact that I wish their love story took place over the course of a couple of months instead of 2-3 weeks, so it would feel more realistic. But that's just me nitpicking. I loved being back in this small town, and can't wait for her next one!

When I first started reading it, I found the writing to feel a bit clunky and just didn't flow well at certain moments. When I got to the 35% mark the story picked up, and I started to enjoy both of the characters. I personally felt like there were too many spice scenes, and I didn't love the "stay and be with me" declaration, but overall it was a pretty fun read. Will for sure continue the series!
