Wow I’m so hooked already! When she goes on about the meaning of the Las Meninas painting? So fun.

The book really wants me to believe that Zelu’s book is just so damn good and life-changing, but every time I read an excerpt, it’s just not good. And that’s wild because I like the writing style of the non-excerpt chapters (it definitely feels like the writing of a debut novelist— a bit green, but definitely promising, and still way better than the excerpts). But there is a HUGE disconnect for me between everyone raving about Zelu’s book and my experience with Zelu’s book.
I’m going to keep reading because I like majority of it so far and the premise is very interesting, but I do not look forward to the excerpt chapters lol

Must read for any woman or mother of any situation. Cannot wait to follow Margo through this journey. The narration is chaotic and beautiful. Much like parenthood to be fair.

Not sure if it’s because I’m listening to the audiobook but I’m so confused by the back-and-forth between first and third person POV??
