What a way to start! No idea where the story’s going but I am here for it and ready to explore this world.

This book was fabulous. The character development was fantastic, and I loved the relationships. It was a great story about stories and memories. Keeping events alive through words. Loved this so much.

I loved this book so much. The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. Came into this wanting a good, gothic-vibed read and just got so much more than expected. It was really creepy in parts, and I loved it. It wasn’t too scary (as someone who get scared really easily) but still had me on the edge of my seat. Real moments of anxiety, heartbreak, love, and perseverance. Just absolutely adored this book and highly recommend if you like an atmospheric read with fantasy, a dash of horror, and some romance. Well, as much romance as you can have in these ultra creepy world Lake has created.

This is my first Rebecca Ross book, and so far I’m enjoying the writing style and the audiobook narrator
