Ann Liang you have done it again 🙂↕️ The perspective of a failing burn out student versus the perspective of a successful burn out student. Honestly was so relatable. Jenna and Jessica, 2 sides of the same coin.

In a world where people will refuse to read diversely I WILL STAY IN MY DIVERSE BAG It is not everyday i’m reading a book where the fmc is an autistic black woman in a small english town. Finished in a day. I was already planning to get my own physical copy as i borrowed this from the library but the art deffo pushing past convincing and more like begging. We have this autistic grumpy comic artist who basically isolates herself in her home and she runs into her new neighbor who is this chill, confident man who is secretly this mother hen- like this man cooked and fed her EVERY DAMN NIGHT- i was honestly waiting for him to tuck her to hed at some point. Likke mosy small town settings it is filled with gossips and whispers which all negatively affect ruth- leading to her isolation and evan being mr new boy is trying to figure things out. Ruth is hilarious the love i have for moody or grumpy fmc is way too much. talia writes witty characters better than any author i have previously read
Had such a fun time reading this.
