I am a basic person with my fantasy lol. I enjoy a fantasy book that has some issue and a side of romance. I really enjoyed this book and enjoyed reading from both perspectives, especially how even with having Lor's perspective, we were not privy to everything she knows. I liked the pacing and plot of the book and how everything ramps up in the end. There is a conclusive ending but still leaves room and intrigue for the next books in the series. There are a lot of questions still left unanswered and a promise of a possible future romance but you are left satisfied with the information you learn through this book and the Trials.
Overall, really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading the rest of the series!
