Post from the Seven Surrenders (Terra Ignota, #2) forum
It’s been a few years since I read the first book, and now I’m remembering what a slog it is to keep track of all these ridiculously long and elaborate names and I keep forgetting what everyone looks like.
But I have learned a fun new word (avocation) so I’ll stick with it for now.

”Ancestral wisdom challenges the idea that there is a fixed human relationship to time.”
I love this whole section on ancestral knowledge and connections, giving me a lot to think about.

It just occurred to me that if this were adapted into a film it would be so much fun in a Wes Anderson style. There is so much subtle character work and observation that I think would very much suit that style of filmmaking.
At the same time I don’t want anyone to try and adapt this to screen because I just hate the implication that this medium isn’t enough and every story isn’t properly told until it’s a movie or film.
