This one took me by surprise; I didn't think I'd really vibe with the liveship concept but I was totally wrong. I forgot that the strongest part of Robin Hobb's writing is her character work, and she is firing on all cylinders in this one. I've come to expect that her books are relatively plot light, but the internal worlds of her characters are so rich I hardly noticed. There are some moments here that I wasn't expecting to get until the end of the series, so I have no idea where it will go and I'm excited to find out. Also stoked to get more of the lore and see the dots between the different series start to connect.

Guys please tell me if this book is worth completing. This feels complex, and it's chonky so I actually want to finish if it has substance, good plot, action, characters and an amalgam of everything else. I am so scared of chunky books๐ญ
