    💯

Story: 5/5 Spice: High (There are not many scenes but they are HOT) Characters: 5/5 -ˏˋ⋆⋆ˊˎ-

I just finished this book. So I'm riding high on a TB ending. There is nothing like it. Nothing. No one can turn me inside out for pages and pages with anxiety over how a story is going just to drop me into something so heart wrenching but pulls me out the other side with new favorite loves.

I will say, that 2/3 of this book is a love letter. Morgan, bless is big heart, is a man that falls so completely in love. So agonizingly in love that we will go on and on for pages and pages about how prefect Shea is. How much he loves him. How he's not worthy of Shea. I always think I'm going to skim these bits but I always end of wrestling through it. This is no different.

I read TB books slower than any of the other books I normally read. He's dense and gives us so many words and sometimes its too much but when I'm done I'm always happy I got through it. You can almost physically hear Morgan growing. I love it.

Thoughts from 67% - this is going too well

I've read several TB books. This is going WAY WAY to well. I'm going to throw up from this anxiety

Story: 4/5 Spice: Medium Characters: 4/5 -ˏˋ⋆⋆ˊˎ- Overall reco: Enjoyable, hit right in the hurt/comfort part of my chest

I really enjoyed this in the way that I enjoy most angsty hurt/comfort things. Painful so so painful. Honestly, it kind of snuck up on me. I didn't read much the first day and thought it wasn't hooking me but after about 25% I was in, all the way, couldn't put it down. I love the mystery of these books in the weird way. Trying to guess the trauma before we get to it and I did figure it out before the book revealed it (sarcastic: go me!) but it was still heart wrenching. I cried at the end.

Something that often happens that bugs me in the hurt/comfort books is that it either feels like the characters are just stupid OR there is no hope and no light and nothing good will come. I didn't feel that way in this book. Maybe I've read too many of these or maybe it wasn't there but the stakes didn't feel insurmountable. Difficult, yes. "are we going to have to kill god?" no. Which I liked. I like the pain these books bring but I can only stand so much before I'm looking for soft fluffy OV to make my day better.

I enjoyed this, a lot. I can't wait to read the next.
