Communication: it will save lives.
Supercommunicators was a great audiobook that made me feel like i was listening to a long NPR story. While it was interesting, and I enjoyed thinking about how I communicate, I don't know if it's the most memorable. I enjoyed it, but I can't see myself reflecting on it for long.
There are good tips but, more engaging, are the stories to support the techniques. I was really captivated by one about a supercommunicator in a jury for a case, that might have seemed obvious on the surface but called into question everyone's morals, and how they tailored their input based on the other jurors priorities. I kept thinking is this manipulation or a conversation technique? I like that I'm still not sure.
If you find the psychological aspect of how we talk to each other interesting, you'll like this.

Fun Book Only: Small Town Romance #3 - Hockey Edition
I love when these little interconnected series throw in a hockey bro. The nickname is so bad though, I just had to gloss over it. They have all been bad but this one flows the worst. Otherwise, much better writing, I thought, than the first two. On to the next!

A tender dark comedy that makes you go š„¹
The Road to Tender Hearts is just special. The tone is unexpectedly perfect for this story about a man who is just wading through the later half of his life until he, after a series of unfortunate events, adopts his great-nephew and great-niece. This book is full of hi-jinks, heartwarming moments, and quirky characters reminding us that sometimes you should giggle at the dark stuff to make it worth bearing.
I absolutely loved the characters in this book and would just die if they turned it into a show. They are lovable, weird, funny, and flawed. I went the audiobook route for this one and Mark Bramhall should win an award. He brought these characters to life in a fun way and captured Annie Hartnett's tone for this story like lightening in a bottle.
Read this one for some fun and feelings!

And another one...
There is a thriller aspect to these that make them addicting to read. I just had to know what would happen next!

Hi hi!
I recently started a dark romance and the theme is stalking. Which I think is creepy. If you want to get freaky, do it in my line of vision not behind the bushes or behind a camera lens. But I wouldnāt say that it would stop me from reading though š. It isnāt where I would draw the line and say, āheyā¦weāve gone too farā¦put the anal beads away. For now š.ā
Anyways, 𤣠that made me think of what my hard limit would be. Mine would be anything dealing with blood hard no āļø. Not a fan of sexual manipulation, or rape fantasies.
I also want to know what other peopleās hard limits are. What would your ultimate āfuck thatās too farā be?
Also, this isnāt to kink shame anyone. Let your freak flags fly proudly. š¤£
