This is starting to shape up to be a very cute read. Iām really liking Rhett and Summerās characters so far. The banter between them is šš»š„

do you use book sleeves? plastic covers? fabric covers? dust jackets only? open bookshelf? let them run wild under your bed? i want to know it ALL!!! all my special edition books have turned into a Project that feels like meditation š§ so it just makes me want to buy more!! after doing A LOT of research ā i use this non-adhesive, acid free plastic covering with this tape to attach the plastic to itself (no damage to your books!!). It can be used for all kinds ā paperback, hardback, paper dust jackets ā the limit is your imagination ! easy peasy tutorials (if youāre interested) can be found here and here i keep my books stored in an IKEA BILLY bookcase with OXBERG glass door to keep them extra snug and away from dust šŖ

Hello! I am looking for translated book recommendations. I have already read Idol Burning, A Magical Girl Retires, and Welcome to the Hyunam-dong Bookshop.

āIn a place called lost, strange things are found.ā āI couldnāt explain it, not even to myself, but books gave me an unflinching sense of stability and groundedness. That because words survived, somehow I would too.ā āThe thing about books,ā she said, āis that they help you to imagine a life bigger and better than you could ever dream of.ā I loved the premise of this book - dual timelines, multiple POV, magical realism, and a beautiful celebration of books and bookshops. I found myself thoroughly invested in the story. I was captivated by both timelines and found myself rooting for each character in this book. This is a well-constructed, bittersweet, magical journey that promises hope beyond the sadness and hardships of life.

This book started off slow and I was struggling to get into it. However it seemed to have taken a turn post the 50% mark and I now canāt put it down. Iām intrigued to find out how Opaline, Martha and Henryās life are interwoven, and how the rest of the story unfolds!

the first sentence is: Meredith Wren, a fucking asshole, not that it matters at this stage of the narrative but itās worth pointing out. So Iāll love this
