❝Hope is the first buds that appear at the end of winter. How dry they are. How dead they seem! And how cold they feel on our fingers. But not for long — the buds grow larger, then become sticky, then swell, and soon the whole world turns green.❞

i teach 4th and 5th graders and they are loving this book!! They love the monster element and ghosts of the previous kids. does anyone have any recommendations for similar middle-grade novels? anything spooky or creepy i think they would love
(an author that’s not a terrible person would also be great )

Queer Mothering
For many (if not most) people, the term 'mother' feels deeply gendered and carries with it the weight of expectations. However, the queer community has long played with the meaning of 'mother,' from the mothers of ballroom culture to queer family-making to the intersection of mothering and trans parenthood. Mother is, after all, an identity like any other and as such it can be stretched, played with, inverted, and examined.

brilliant companion for selftrust, selfcare, & self~love whilst reclaiming one's birthing experience.
covers everything that one might feel the need to know.
from my own experience, birthing in liberation : trust your body, & surrender into it.
trust your body also when it tells you how it would feel most at ease for birth.
