I loved this book! It’s a wonderful work of science fiction and sapphic romance. I enjoyed how themes from ‘Frankenstein’ were expanded upon through the lens of a female protagonist. I thought the way sexism and racism were handled is the book was well done. I was able to get a full picture of the society these characters were living in that felt seamless and worked in tandem with the plot and character development. It was humorous, tense, reflexive, and both plot and character driven. My one critique is that the beginning felt quite slow, but I think that was necessary for the overall trajectory of the story.
