4.75 rounded up (I'm actually thinking it should probably be 5 stars).
We finally got everything from Edie & Elliot: the exploration of hope, expectations, fears & insecurities, the chemistry, the banters, the heartfelt conversations, the meaty, gripping & meaningful fight(s)/argument(s)... and the LOVE ❤️

I enjoyed this book and I loved how we explored the theme of family while following both Edie & Elliot's journeys.
Edie wasn't perfect. It did take her quite a while to realize her mistakes and also her strength, but she became a better person at the end (though there were still things to explore, and I've heard that a sequel was released).
Actually I planned to rate this higher. However, since this book was released 10 years ago, there were some descriptions and remarks that did not age well in my opinion, and they sounded insensitive.

Disclaimer: this rating is "unfair", because I'd have rated it 5 stars if I understood the scientific stuff. I feel bad about this, but I can't lie either. I hope all of you will forgive me.
Wow. This book taught me about everything but Science (because sadly I'm not smart enough to understand the scientific stuff). I'm so happy I decided to read this despite being intimidated by the genre (watching scifi & reading scifi are 2 very different things).
I learned so much about hope, resilience and friendship through this book. Definitely an unforgettable experience.
And I really adored Grace's characterization. Despite the grand plot, it was him & Rocky that kept the story alive. The narration, his thoughts, feelings, and the humor (I lived for Grace's ability to name things. He should've gotten an award for that)! Everything was so well-written! I still read Grace's every theory, deduction, etc although I had to reread sometimes in order to at least understand a little when he talked about Science.
