The writing style of this had me confused!

I really did not enjoy the writing style of this author.

The contrast between the immature writing of a YA novel versus the extreme gore really threw me

I honestly don't know how to rate this. I was hooked but I think it was intrigue more than genuine enjoyment. It was very gothic (love) but with really visceral horror (which made me feel queasy). Going with my gut.

As another reviewer said: if you come to read this book with the assumption that you will read a story of romance and obsession, you will quickly come to realise that only obsession exists between these characters. I can see why so many people love this book!

Nothing better than a who-done-it story!

This was some very vivid writing. 'Weird sci-fi' is how I would describe it!

Can't explain it, but I didn't enjoy this book like I did the others she has written!
