Good patter, meh story

WHERE WAS EZRYN?!

Absolute chaos as per usual, but I wasn't a huge fan of the races. The last 20% was insane though.

Rating was purely based off enjoyment vibes, rather than plot or characters.

4.5 stars. Genuinely gripping from the start to the end. A fantastic analysis of the current pushed political messaging experienced in the Western world. I just wish there was more about how trad wives (like Natalie) are pushing the narrative ON PURPOSE.

Considering Empire of the Vampire is one of my favourite series ever, I really did not enjoy this at all!!

I honestly don't know how to rate this. I was hooked but I think it was intrigue more than genuine enjoyment. It was very gothic (love) but with really visceral horror (which made me feel queasy). Going with my gut.
