    MAJOR CONTENT WARNING ⚠️ 1%

I’m shocked that I didn’t see more content warnings for this among all the PR and early reviews. The book opens with attempted suicide, written in her POV, and it’s very raw and intense. It gave me the same kind of alarm bells I felt the first time I watched 13 Reasons Why.

Even a few chapters in, her narration is still deeply depressed and passively suicidal. The characters keep revisiting that night. It’s an important topic, and I have read other romances that involved suicide like Darling Venom —but if you’re not in a good headspace, this could definitely trigger a spiral. If this was real life, her depression would need medical intervention.

I’m continuing for now to see where it goes, but I’d definitely urge caution if this feels even remotely close to home for you.

    Enjoyment: Quality: Characters: Plot:

This work is AI generated. If the writing wasn’t enough of a tell, the only info you can find on the author is a little blurb stating how they support AI usage in the creation of content as it is “assistive” to those who are neurodivergent.

Do you know what you can’t do with AI generated content? You can’t copyright it. So I went and searched copyright databases for this work. Surprise, it doesn’t exist, despite what the front material claims 🙃 C’est la vie, unfortunately

(DNF by 2% because it was pretty obvious; would be delighted to be proven wrong!)
