Reading this and Role Model at the same time was too much I think. This had me crying in the middle of a cafe at 3 in the afternoon. And why? Because these silly little queer men were sad and so I was sad. And then they were happy and I was still sad because they were finally allowed to be in love and that's just so lovely.
This was obviously a bit of a tone shift from Heated Rivalry, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Really getting to see them grow in their relationship was so sweet, and especially at the end, seeing them really stick by each other even though people sucked (FUCK the Metros) was really beautiful.
Anyways, this whole book had me like this 🫠 😝 😭 🥹 🤬 🫠 🥹 🥰 just constantly and I am sad I will never be able to read it for the first time again.

Whilst I did enjoy reading this book, I can absolutely see why it is the least popular of the series.
I spent this whole book wanting to reach through the pages and just shake the two of them because the just kept refusing to talk to each other. There was no real conflict in this story aside from them being unwilling to communicate. If they'd had even one real conversation with each other, this book wouldn't even crack 100 pages.
I am still glad that I read this one, but it is not a likely candidate for a re-read.
