i honestly don't want this story to end. i absolutely loved qingyu and xing in the modern world! bonus points for huaishi to join them as well 🥹.

from start to finish of the whole story, it's really a fun read. i went thru a lot of roller coaster of emotions but they were short (especially the angst thankfully). i really really loved the couple's development in their personality and dynamics in terms of the political stuff and their love for each other.

🥹🥹😭😭 jiang xing's love for qingyu is so beautiful they make me so emotional i love this couple so much 😭😭😭 because at the start of the book he just wanted to laze around. in this part, he's doing his work and was getting tired and questioning why he was doing work in the first place. seeing qingyu peacefully asleep in his arms made him realize that reason and he's willing not to laze around just to see his wife happy.

i can't believe this is the end of the main story already and i honestly love this as the ending lines. i can't wait to read the extras 😍
