For as self aware as this book is, I'm surprised the author decided to have the heroine actually suggest to the proprietor of a brick-and-mortar bookstore that they should just order a book off of Amazon.

Or was it just me? I was so glad I was reading it on a Kindle, which made it easy to look words up. I thought I had a decent vocabulary but the author really put it to the test 😅

I read this book as a teenager and - even with my bad memory - I remember it well because it made me cry.
Post from the All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries, #1) forum
I've gotten a little better, but I will always relate to Murderbot. I too do not wish to be perceived and just want to be left to my shows (and books!) I've just started rereading All Systems Red, and never had the chance to read the rest. I've heard good things and I want to read the series before I see the show. I seriously hope the show does Murderbot justice!

I've found it soooo hard to finish a book lately, like my reading slump is out of control. I'm dying for tips or suggestions. I'm open to anything. Before you ask, yes the big three is at play here (depression, anxiety, adhd). Thank you beautiful (or handsome) people. ETA: grammer ETA: omg yall are the best. these are really helpful. i will definitely change reading mediums more. I just feel so guilty for stopping reading. But yall are the best :')

It has a bit of a slow start, but I'm glad I stuck with this book because it ended up becoming a favorite of mine. Even if the dragons don't live up to expectations, seeing how the government tries to erase and suppress information in the book is definitely relevant in this day and age.
Post from the Beguilement (The Sharing Knife, #1) forum
I just reread Beguilement for the first time in over a decade. It's just as good as I remember, and it's still one of the more unique fantasy books I've read! I love the setting and the originality of the magic system. I'll admit, the significant age gap between Fawn and Dag does read a bit differently these days, but the book will remain a favorite of mine. Has anyone else here read it? What do you all think?
