Wonderful yearning, that must be said. The magic system is wonderfully captivating. But my issues were, firstly, with Kier. He seemed to be painted in such an angelic light with few flaws and not much substance to him. I wasn’t at all taken with him and couldn’t quite understand what Grey saw so deeply in him, save for time passed. Secondly, the plot was interesting until the last 30% or so, when it became predictable and generally quite unsatisfying. I think this had the bones of a phenomenal book, but it didn’t quite make the mark for me.

Toadling warmed my heart so deeply. What a beautiful little story (can T. Kingfisher ever fail me? I fear not)

I mean the hobby/interest you spend most of your free time on that's not book-related.
I'm a boardgames girlie personally! Love a social deduction game, and Blood on the Clocktower could easily rival reading for taking up most of my leisure time in any given week. What about you folks?!
