Audiobooks Narrated by the Great Tim Curry
2026 is merciless. We lost another one, people. Pour one out for a legend. I'm devastated. Clue is one of my all-time favorite movies. I saw Rocky Horror Picture Show on the Queen Mary when I was in high school. They wrote slut on my chest and had me perform sapphic erotica for the audience. I had misread the vibe and was wearing a sailor suit my friend had cut the legs and crotch out of. It was an incredible (eye-opening) evening for me. We will miss you so much, Tim.

I can't believe we lost Dolly and Tim in the same day (he passed late last night apparently).
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to tell me your favourite Tim Curry show/movie/musical/game, and give a book rec based on that piece of media.
I also read Tim's memoir, Vagabond earlier this year, and definitely recommend it.

Hey ya'll, in light of the icon, Dolly Parton, passing away, would anyone be interested in an unofficial Dolly week on PB next week? I've seen a few posts from people engaging with her books and books about her - I think it could be fun to have an unofficial buddy read week AND a week to celebrate reading, which was a passion of her philanthropic efforts.
I might also try and spend some time reading to my niece who is under five, might be time she met the Hungry Hungry Caterpillar!
Also, please let me know if this is out the gate to post!

Dolly Parton was an amazing philanthropist and singer. She was a queer ally and helped get kids free books. She did so much for education in East Tennessee. Truly a woman to look up to and her family is asking people to donate to her book program for kids instead of flowers to remember her. RIP Dolly you were amazing.

I DNF'd this book at 10%. I tried reading something outside of my comfort zone, but unfortunately nothing about it appeals to me... Samantha Brentmoor has a great narration style though!
