smorgan's Book Journey

A lovely cozy fantasy that made me crave tea, pastries, and cuddling cats as I read it. The plot was pretty balanced between a steady pace of peaceful vibes against some moments of gravitas/stakes. This served as a reminder of what was dear to the characters and what they were trying to protect. I thought the magic was interesting and mysterious, and I liked that by the end of the book we still didn't have all the answers to how the magic worked. A wonderful read!
