Ive been interested in reading this for a while because I heard good things about Lightlark but a lot of the reviews on PB have very low ratings. I’m not a fantasy girl but I want to give it a try!!! Should I give it a shot????

I think for me this book is definitely something I need to listen to the audiobook. I am going to switch to the audiobook and see if this changes my overall experience of the book yet. This book has so much charm so far that I feel like I’m missing out if I’m not listening to it.

Just started this for my book club & I am already hooked. The case notes are really intriguing, I’m excited to see how they guide the story. The mother though… I can already tell I’m about to be so disgusted and angry.

This was my first LitRPG novel, so keep in mind as you read my review that I'm not comparing this book to any others in this genre.
I absolutely loved this book! I finished it in one sitting. It was exactly what I expected it to be, a novel taking inspiration from games like The Legend of Zelda and Dungeons & Dragons. It was funny, clever, a little silly, and immensely enjoyable. The author did a great job simplifying the RPG elements so anyone could follow along, even if they weren't overly familiar with those types of games.
If you're looking for a fun, lighthearted read and you like RPGs (or are curious about LitRPGs) this is a great book to pick up!
