maybe it's just because of my newfound maturity when it comes to what i'm consuming (i.e. i'm able to engage with and critique media more), nostalgia for the original pjo/hoo series, or the fact that this was the last installment in the riordanverse that i picked up. but i didn't really. enjoy it as much?? i don't know. the characters were well written as always but i don't think they compelled me enough. the gods actually being active and present was SUPER interesting to read though! it's definitely a good book and an underrated series but it might just not be the series for me. i'll try to read the rest of it in my spare time but for now i will be moving on to other things 🐞🦩
