Katherine lay on her horn as a Tesla swerved out of a parking lot directly in front of her.
Typical Tesla behavior. Glad to see it’s not just me so much to the point that we’ve got it depicted in a book now about how brain dead Tesla drivers tend to be. It’s oddly comforting.

I genuinely am still so confused when people find this book “boring”. I suspect is stems from certain things but I’ll keep those thoughts to myself.
This book encapsulates women’s emotion, mentality, and their interpersonal connections on a level I’ve been missing so dearly in books. Regardless if you do not share romantic feelings towards women the story goes beyond that in more ways than one. It explores the human condition within women by turning it up to an 11 with vampirism. From your sibling running too fast for you to catch up to you realizing the person who dares to say “I love you,” is your worst enemy.
I am so grateful to have read this book. It healed something within me and I’m not too sure what to call it yet. Maybe it’s the subtle build up within the women’s lives where I found relation or maybe something else. Regardless of what feelings it left me with it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

This is the epitome of a car crash that I can’t look away from. I genuinely want to DNF and move on but part of me wants to know what happens just for the sake of seeing if my predictions are correct

water is wet (and other facts about the ocean)
“Every time I slip into the ocean, it’s like going home.” —Sylvia Earle
Nonfiction about the ocean, specifically concerning it as a complex ecosystem, its contributions to regulating our entire planet, and the ways it entwines with human history—especially as the place where life first arose.
