I think my favorite letters were the seeds from Blue... how she said she loved the idea that Red was tasting her on the back of her tongue. 🥵🫠 Idk if you read the book or listened to it on audio, but the narrators for this are sooooo goooood! Very intimate and sensual to listen to; just added SO much to the atmosphere of their clandestine letters.

In all seriousness, I adored this book. I had to put it down and leave it for a while the first time I picked it up months and months ago, so I recommend reading it when you’ve got nothing else on your mind. The language and time-travel stuff gets confusing. It is, however, a very short book, so if you focus intensely and read carefully, you will be rewarded mightily.
Red and Blue are each such fascinating characters and it is very easy to get caught up in them. The alternative histories they weave through, absurd past and impossible future, were also a huge thumbs up from me. Overall, this a richly written, vivid, lovingly sewn patchwork quilt of a book.
