I fucking loved this shit!!!
I'm gonna start reading book 2 now ;))
Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1)
Leigh Bardugo
Hey everyone I would love to know if this post is a good idea or not/at the right place!
So I'm Dutch and Ketterdam/Kech is largely based on the Amsterdam/the Netherlands and Leigh actually used a lot of Dutch names (Joost, Rutger) but also partly Dutch words so I thought I would put some translations here as I come across them in the book! These are obviously not necessary to understand the book but I figured people might find it interesting to know.
Ketterdam: ketter = heretic Geldstraat: geld = money, straat = street stadwatch: stad = city beurscanal: beurs = (stock) exchange

I'm a STEM girlie (microbiology specifically) so I actually really enjoyed The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood because from what I remember the science aspects were accurate!! I also freaking loved Project Hail Mary because Grace is literally a microbiologist and the science was super freaking cool since I also enjoy space!
So far I haven't read a biology focused fiction book that fucked the science up because that would really irritate me (like that one scene in the PHM movie lol)
Ciao Bookaholics!
How is everyone?
Im currently on an archaeology placement for uni and I recently read an Indiana Jones spoof romace book for a little bit of fun
I want to know....
Have you ever read a book related to your job/degree? And how did you find it? 🤔
