hi ! can anyone recommend fantasy books that have a "golden retriever" type of mmc :3
most of the fantasy books i've read always have a mmc that is grumpy, have dark aura, with dark brooding eyes— basically a shadow daddy lmfao i just want something different and fresh. i'd love anything as long as it doesn't involve love triangles <3

i came for the romance but this book gave me an in-depth personality analysis instead. i felt very vulnerable because all of my pent-up thoughts and feelings are suddenly laid bare on those book pages, but it also made me feel seen and comforted.
