I read the english translation, so keep that in mind. I not only loved the story but how it was told, it just manages to keep you hooked without even trying to. It’s relatable in a way that makes you pause and take a moment to think about your life. It’s so intimate, for most of the book you’re reading through the protagonist’s diary, and it would’ve certainly made me feel intrusive had I not been completely immersed in the story, as if I were the one living it. This one is for the yearners and the so-called manic pixie dream girls.
