Here we are with a pet peeve before page one. "Little did they know...". That has got to be one of the laziest, most cliché phrases.

FINALLY jskdjas it honestly took me forever. I struggled a lot with it. Whenever a chapter felt too heavy or confusing I would read a breather and sometimes forget about the book completely. Joseph’s dialogue was especially tough to understand, but thanks to this one person who shared a translation site I managed to get through. May you never lose your bookmark.
NOW, the characters... Half the time I was asking myself what is wrong with everyone jsahdksj their choices and emotions are so tangled that it felt like watching a storm that never ends.
One thing that really bothered me was the cruelty to dogs. Those parts were hard to read.
Finishing this book felt like an accomplishment. It wasn't easyy but it leaves you with a strange mix of frustration and fascination. (mostly frustration lols)
