The way the characters stress out is rubbing off on me. The men in this book are just so– 🤬

Started this year off with Caraval ✨ We actually bought the book last year, but we were so busy that we didn’t have time to read it. We settled into a cozy café, and then out of nowhere, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tears” suddenly blasted through the speakers. The timing was hilarious jajjajss the three of us looked up from our pages at the EXACT same moment. Iykyk

"Remember what my parents said to you when our parents met for the first time? They said, we hope you’ll fix him up and make him useful. I know they were smiling when they said that, but you know they weren’t joking."

This is my first Poston, and I really like her writing. I love when a character's narration doesn't just tell me what's happening and how they feel about it, but paints me a picture of their world, and shows me how they navigate it.
