My god this was fun. I loved the plot and thought it was really beautiful how the “smut” was deeper than your average—Elsie Silver did such a great job in driving home how fun and experimental things can get when you feel truly safe with your partner. West melted my heart. Absolutely loved this one!

I was listening to this one as an audiobook, and I can't tell if I was just too distracted while reading to enjoy this, or if it wasn't for me. The audio was so immersive, I almost wonder if I would prefer reading a physical version. Any tips from the folks who have read this? It seems like such a beautiful read!

I have so much love for this series. It feels like a hug. Gus and Teddy’s journey from enemies to lovers felt so genuine, something I think is hard to pull off. The father-daughter relationships in this book made it feel so special.

I can see why people warn others to check triggers before reading - this book is no joke. But I think in our current world, the sad thing is that nothing felt shocking to me. If you pay attention to what’s happening around the world, it’s likely you’ll read about violence that feels akin to what you’ll read in these pages. This is a powerful story that had me invested throughout and I quickly felt attached to many characters. Also unexpectedly funny? RF Kuang is such a fantastic writer.

Every time I open a Lyla Sage book I’m hooked within 5 pages 🥺 I love Teddy and Gus so much already.

Oh how I LOVED this book. The writing was so strong and moved the plot along fast. Anita and Raquel are both such incredible characters, but even side characters felt well developed.

I am loving this SO much. It’s funny and infuriating and heart breaking and I care so deeply for Anita and Raquel. And the way that magical realism is being used is adding so much to the story. Depending on the ending, this could totally be a 5 star read.
