Post from the The Wicked King (The Folk of the Air, #2) forum
I am struck thinking how much more I would have liked this book when I was young. It was a recommendation from a younger friend, so it makes sense.
In good and bad, the MCs feel young. I feel too old. I don't understand the allure of cruel boys.
The writing is comfortable to read, but I fail to connect to it much. Finishing these reads for that friend who holds these books dear to her heart.

Pleasantly written. Maybe I am too old or too gay, but I didn't connect so much with the characters. I could guess some of the important plot points. But it was an entertaining book to read, so I can understand why many people love it.
