I find that I tend to read for the purpose of escaping reality- jumping into a romanticized world of fantasy and magic; comforted by the whimsy and heroism.

However, this book is drawing me into a deeper awareness of reality— beckoning me to listen, notice, and to care. To be more present within myself. It’s a powerful feeling.
