john wiswell i have quickly become very fond of u and ur whimsical little fantasy worlds. give me a thousand more right this instant.
i think my only real complaint is the pacing. it starts dragging Bad for ab 100 pages in the middle, which kinda took me out of it till we got back on track. i also think that the political plotline was underutilized, considering its important for all of 15 minutes and then becomes background noise.
but beyond that this was rlly solid!! a fun ride with a very endearing little dragon and found family will always be a win for me

this was not at ALL what i was expecting and im not mad about it. i was expecting more of a female rage style book, but got something a lot quieter, melancholic, and honestly thought provoking. life is so unfair and yet full of so much hope. life is worth living even when theres none of the usual things that make it up. life is what you make it despite the circumstances.
apparently ppl are divided on the ending but i thought it was rlly good and fitting. but maybe thats bc i fuck heavily w open endings that leave more questions than answers
