I watched Fern Brady first in Taskmaster, she was very funny and late-diagnosed autistic. I was curious to read this book. I enjoyed the book overall, it has good insights. I learned more about the autism and different ways of it showing in women and men. She was very honest and expressed herself quite good. Her experience until her diagnose was sad, traumatic maybe and hard to read at times. I feel like in some ways she exaggerated the autism aspect, but it was also expected as the focus is more on the late-diagnosis and her experience through out.

I read this after I watched the film, maybe that's why I didn't invested in the characters. Anyways, I like the mystery solving and all, but I didn't quite enjoy Osman's language. It's hard to track - who is telling what. The storyteller always changes and it's not easy to follow along. I get used to this way of story telling almost in the last quarter of the book. I might enjoy more the following series. For me, this is a less crime/mystery version of Agatha Christie. It's hard to follow, hard to relate to the characters. It has a weird language referencing modern stuff. It is more of an introductory book to Osman's language for me!
