hello to nobody in particular. felt the need to inform the public that me and my friends are doing our first ever 7 books in 7 days challenge and i feel like everyone should hear what we picked so i can get encouragement (or warnings)
🧩 "Devils in Daylight" by Junichoro Tanizaki 🐖"Animal Farm" by George Orwell 🔪"The Obsession" by Jesse Q Sutanto 🤍 "White Nights" by F. Dostoevesky ⛰️ "Into the WIld" by Jon Krakauer 🪄"Thorne Hedge" by T, Kingfisher ☕"Before the Coffee gets Cold" by Toshikazu Kawaguchi
basically everyone chose one book (devils in daylight was mine hehehe) and like im happy its a very even balance of genres like theres some mystery, litfic, fantasy, a russian guy-- perfect!
idk let me know ur thoughts, if u've done it before, or if u can tell which youtuber i swiped half of these titles from

I'm not sure how I feel about this book right now. Almost 60% in and I have conflicting thoughts about the pacing and detail. Even the most intense moments and scenes are over with as soon as they begin. It's cute. The writing is good. The plot is engaging enough. Just feeling weird that I'm over halfway through and not feeling incredibly connected to everything.

Which books are you looking forward to read this weekend? Or do you have any other plans? I recently defeated a reading slump so I’m trying to find a book that grabs my attention so I don’t fall back into that slump again! ✨ Also it’s been a strange couple of weeks, I’m kind of trying to fall back into some healthier habits (other than reading) & generally trying to be kinder to myself. I hope you guys are doing well! 🥰
