Maybe Im just Built Different ™️. But I understood the plot the first time around. Sure its written confusingly on purpose which I love but you just need to pay more attention than usual. The book will reward you immensely if you treat it a bit like you would treat a puzzle. Incredibly satisfying 10/10

Ocean Vuong has a real talent for describing the vibe of a situation so vividly that I start feeling the same anxiety as the characters eventho everything is fine

Crazy prose, incredible story, superb romance. I love that there were parts that could be predicted if you pay close enough attention and I love that there is a crazier plottwist too.
Their romance was sooooooo goooood !!!!!! Full of longing and yearning and fated occurances. Thats how you write romance baybeeee !!! Their arc from taunting to admiration to love was also great.
The world is so messy but in a delightful way. I think a reread of this could be eye opening. Especially now that we know what is going to happen. Im willing to bet there are thousands of foreshadowing moments scattered across the book. I also appreciate that the time travel story is not too complicated (Im looking at the Netflix series DARK)
