i read the second one first a while back before this one bc i really wanted a basketball romance. truthfully, this is my first hockey romance i finished and i had a great time. it was raining all day and all i did was cuddle with my animals while read. and it’s kinda fun already knowing some of the characters before going into this one
and on an honest to god note, god the parent trauma had me tearing up esp w/ stevie’s dad pulling up for her
idk i enjoyed this!! i do love romance but i love it when they’re not rush and “predictable” like we knew what was going to happen but the curiosity of how it unfolds is what keeps me hooked. i might reread the right move just bc but honestly, i highkey wanna finish this series just to get to rio!!

this was a sweet wrap up to the whole series. cute to end it on right person wrong time type of trope too!! glad i caught up for the spinoff coming out next month!!
i never planned on reading this whole series tbh. but guess what, it's february so valentines day is just in your face. i just wanted a basketball romance and "the right move" was up the alley i was looking for. i read that one about two years ago now. perks of a kindle, you can read a sample. when i sampled "mile high" i knew this was the series that i could eat up.
i love stories that focus on the characters and the plot than the spice and i felt like this was one of them. of course, it's a perk when it's added to see how the characters are together in intimacy but no need to shove it in my face. liz still did great with the balance.
at times, i did feel some redundancy, but again i think that's also just because i just binged read the whole series in four days. i do recommend this series, i think it's fun and great brain turn-off type of read. the whole series is easy to be immersed in and i think that's why i enjoyed them.

we love women in men’s fields!!!
isaiah and kennedy are fun but i think i was hitting series fatigue because this was the third book i've read within the last three days. don't get me wrong, i very much enjoyed it. i think at this point, i noticed liz likes certain descriptive characteristic traits that i was kind of getting tired of and i wanted something new.
what made up was the fierce independency kennedy carries and the respect that isaiah has (like his brother). this was great, the rhode brothers are boys who yearn.

closing yourself is way easier than staying open to the unknown.
overall, sweet story and sweet characters, very cutesy. it was a bit of a slow burner for me, but i kept pushing through bc of the main characters and they left me wondering what was going to happen for them. their story did not disappoint. another win for summer romance books!!
reflecting back, i remember loving all the characters-- so many fun, representing personalities. definitely a black cat/golden retriever type of trope
