I can't believe it's over 😭 Watching my babies grow up was harder that I thought,but I must say I'm really satisfied with the ending. Except of the side couple who didn't work out , but that is life unfortunately 😔 Making me ugly cry at midnight is not fair Alice!!

major Tangled vibes 😭 seeing as that’s one of my all time favorite movies, it’s safe to say i LOVED this book. short and sweet with some badass characters? new fave unlocked 🔓 this has everything: enchanted horse…cloak? queen who wants to see the world and not be confined in a gilded cage? king who is a little different and wants different things but was forced to hide himself away? check, check, and ✍️ check!

This novel is delightfully written and the audiobook is damn near perfect.

The FMC and MMC genuinely don’t like each other, mostly because one’s a healer and the other is an assassin.

They are forced to work together to solve a problem and in that process, they slowly begin to like each other. Very slowly. In the process they discover that not everything is right in the world.

The banter or comedic connection between the characters is top notch. The author does such an amazing job of making me laugh out loud at some of the exchanges and the insults are first rate as only the English can do.

I’m fascinated by the land that they live in—England if the Norman Invasion of 1066 hadn’t succeeded.

The magic system is unusual and I rather like it. I like that you can see the cost to the person wielding it.
