✨ Thank you to the author and publisher for this eArc via Netgalley. Rating: 3.75⭐
The title was deceiving, I was expecting the FMC to be more "alone" and focusing on growing herself but, alas, this was a romance book with a little magical twist. The FMC and MMC were cute but maybe I'm just not the biggest fan of instalove? Rikki felt relatable at first, but slowly realized that this is a work of fiction. As a girl who met her boyfriend online and has been in a long-distance relationship for a year, everything ended up working for them, which is a great story, and it's nice for me to want something like that. There were a lot of lines that I highlighted because it gave me hope for my own relationship. Also, I understand that writers and actors have stage names / pseudonyms, but there were a lot of them for just two people and it got a little confusing. Maybe it was how the audiobook narrator read it, but needed a little bit more sass when they used each other's pseudonyms. At least that is how I read it -- you use the real name when you're intimate / serious, and the other names when not.
